The non-negotiables
The app states its core rules up front, and they are refreshingly blunt. You must be 18 or older for video chat. Your webcam must show you, live. No nudity, no hate speech, no harassment. Do not ask for gender: this is not a dating site. Violators get banned. The Umingle official site wording leaves no wiggle room, and neither do the moderators.
Behavior that gets banned
Beyond the headline rules, spam (pasting links, advertising), threatening language, and deliberately offensive content all trigger bans. Pointing your camera at anything other than yourself, like a wall or a recorded video, also counts as a violation because it breaks the live-presence rule. When in doubt, ask whether a moderator watching the session would approve.
How reporting works
Every chat has a report button, usually near the top of the screen. One tap flags the session for human review with context attached. False reporting to harass someone can backfire on your own account, so report honestly. Our report and block guide walks through the exact taps.
Ban lengths and appeals
Minor first offenses can mean a temporary lockout measured in hours or days. Serious violations, especially involving minors or explicit content, mean permanent device bans. There is no formal appeal desk that reliably answers, which is why the ban fix guide focuses on what you can actually do instead of wishful thinking.
