Umingle Privacy Guide: What the App Sees

What Umingle can and cannot see: permissions, chat data, camera access, and the privacy habits that keep anonymous chat truly anonymous.

What the app requests

The Umingle APK asks for three permissions: camera, microphone, and network. That is the entire list. No contacts, no location, no storage, no phone identity. For a video chat app, this is the minimal honest set, and our permissions guide verifies each one.

What the app cannot see

Without an account, there is no profile to mine and no history to sell. The app does not know your name, your friends, or your files. The main privacy surface is you: what you say and what your camera shows.

What the service knows

Like any internet service, the servers see your connection: IP address, coarse region, session timing. This is standard and unavoidable. What they do not get is anything from your phone beyond the audio and video you deliberately send during a chat.

Your privacy habits

Keep your full name, school, workplace, and handles out of every conversation. Check your background for mail, photos, and screens with personal info before going on video. Use a nickname-free mindset: if a stranger can Google it, do not say it. The safety breakdown pairs with this guide for the full picture.

Quick answers

Does the app track my location?

The APK requests no location permission. The service may see a coarse region from your network connection, like any website does, but not GPS coordinates.

Are my chats recorded?

Chats are live and disposable by design. Treat every call as potentially capturable on the other end, though: the stranger's device is outside your control.

Can I use the app without giving permissions?

Text chat works without camera and mic. Video mode needs both, granted only while you use the app.
